It's America-Album Release Week Blog from Rodney

Monday March 30 – Nashville
5:00 a.m.
On my third cup of coffee as I’m heading in to Music Row this morning for a tv satellite media tour. I’m so glad it’s finally here...album release. It’s gonna be a busy week, starting this morning with 6 hours of media interviews with different shows from all over the the country.

I’m at the airport now, headed to the NYC. I just found out I’ve been asked to be on Larry King’s show tonight on CNN... to talk about Madonna. Unbelievable.

On the plane I’m reading Tony Dungy’s book, Uncommon. It’s a great book.

We arrive at JFK and are headed to the hotel then to the Time Warner Center to CNN.

10:30 pm
I’m back at the hotel, we’re in Time’s Square. Larry King show was a trip. Very cool. It's been a long day and tomorrow is Drop Day.

Tuesday March 31st – NYC
4:00 am

Stealing quote from one of my new favorite movies, Madagascar 2, It’s time ‘move it, move it!’

Later that morning...
Backstage at the Today show on NBC. Rehearsing, sound checking. Showtime... break a leg. It was a blast to perform on the show. The folks there are incredible to work with and Hoda and Cathy Lee were great.

11 am
And we’re off to do more media. First it’s a stop at Reuter’s TV, then OK Magazine, ABC, Better TV-show and last Entertainment Weekly. Great day.

Wednesday April 1st – NYC
7:00 am

First we’re headed to NPR (National Public Radio) then to visit the folks at Outdoor Life and Field and Stream magazine. Swung back by the hotel to grab our gear and luggage and to do a phone interview with the radio station and then we’re off to Fox news and then People magazine for an interview and an acoustic performance.

4:30 pm
Headed back to airport to fly to Phoenix. We’re playing at the festival Country Thunder in Florence, Arizona tomorrow night.
